For mythic items there were quite a few added with interesting uses. Some gold generators, some furniture, etc. The typical collection here that you see in most of these expansions. But I feel like they fit into archtypes well and their storylines were entertaining.Īs with previous expansions, new artifacts for the antiquity system were added. I wont go into the personalities and such of the companions since I know some consider that a story spoiler. I'm guessing this means that the next allies they add have a high chance of being a necromancer and warden. Filling out 2 of the 4 remaining classes. One is a Breton Templar and the other is a Khajiit mage. The expansion also adds in two new allies. Often the buildings will be tan color stone, red/orange-ish roofs, and pointed spires with flags flying. However with a slight whimsical touch on them to distinguish their style from say buildings in imperial regions like Blackwood. The towns and structures, aside from the ruins/druidic style structures, are traditional fantasy like. I'm not an expect on environments in the world, but it feels very inspired by areas around the Aegean Sea. From a nature perspective, they're islands with steep cliffs, spots of volcanic activity, and on one island a rich jungle. The zone is based off a grouping of islands on the west side of the map. They're setting up the villain to have depth and dimensions. I believe I know where the story is going and I'm really excited.

They followed those same themes mentioned above. The quest hubs and story lines presented in quests were also entertaining/enjoyable. So you'll find nooks of lore deeply rooted in druidic style themes. A small faction of this culture and people who still follow it is present in the story. There is a slight spin on it where it goes into the old old lore of Bretons where Bretons once had a strong connection with Y'ffre and a culture built around Y'ffre. And those themes are present in the story.

Dukes, lords, houses, knights, nobles, etc. Breton culture has a heavy influence from traditional medieval fantasy themes. It deals primarily with politics, the war, and conspiracies. The story of High Isle is certainly a breath of fresh air, being more grounded. I wont reveal anything with the specific of the story or anything that I would consider spoilers. The environment is beautiful and Breton lore has been quite entertaining. With a focus on politics and conspiracies. The story is a nice change of pace and more grounded. On par I'd say with a stand alone card game, but putting it in a MMORPG adds a whole new dimension of player interaction, rewards, and purpose beyond the typical competitiveness. While it still needs some work in the way of balance, it is remarkably well done and a great alternative activity to do in the world. The major highlight of this chapter is the new card game, Tales of Tribute. If you've played previous ESO expansions, then you'll see the return of many previous content styles. High Isle is the latest addition to the ESO adventure and a good, but predictable one at that. I'll put a quick summary at the top and then a more in depth explanation below.
